Your privacy is extremely important to me. This Privacy Policy is designed to explain how I collect, use, share and protect the personal information you provide when you access my website or book and attend a treatment at Sunshine Holistics.
Information obtained by Sunshine Holistics will be collected lawfully and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and I am committed to ensuring that your personal data is secure.
Personal Data
Personal Data is any information which identifies you personally e.g. your name, address, email address, phone number. This Privacy Policy is concerned with personal data for those who enquire about treatments or courses via this website and also for anyone who attends an appointment at Sunshine Holistics.
I collect the following data from you:
- When you send me an enquiry via my website, I will collect your name, email address, phone number and message details in order to reply to you.
- When you attend your first treatment at Sunshine Holistics I will take health and medical information and your contact details from you in order to provide you with suitable Holistic Therapy treatments, to devise a personalised treatment plan, and in order to contact you about future treatments. This includes your name, address, date of birth, email address, phone number, and health details such as any prescribed medication or medical conditions. I will not share your information with anyone else (other than as required for legal process) without explaining why it is necessary and obtaining your explicit consent.
- At each consultation I will take further treatment details and related notes.
- When a treatment is attended for the first time, all clients will be asked to read and sign my Privacy Notice in accordance with GDPR guidelines. A copy will be given to you at your first appointment and you will be asked to sign to consent to treatment.
Consent
By filling in the enquiry form on this website, you are giving your consent to Sunshine Holistics to hold your personal information and to make contact.
By signing the initial consultation form during your first visit, you are giving your consent for Sunshine Holistics to hold your personal information. The information which you supply on the form will be held together with any clinical records I will use your information to give you the best possible service and for insurance purposes.

Storing your information
All your information is securely stored. All documents and applications that contain personal data are password protected. Consultation forms and treatment records are stored in a lockable cupboard and no electronic copies are kept.
I am required by law to retain adult records for eight years following our last date of contact and will destroy them with a shredder after that date. Children’s records are retained until their 25th or 26th birthday, depending on the exact age of the child when their treatment ended.
Accessing your information
Your records are accessed solely by myself for clinical purposes. You have the right to request a copy of your records at any time.
Sharing your information
I will never sell your personal data to any third party. I will never share your personal data with any third parties for marketing purposes.
Your information will be kept strictly confidential unless there are legal grounds for me to disclose something which you have told me to a third party. In this rare instance I shall always inform you if I feel that disclosure is necessary and seek your permission and co-operation first.
With your agreed and written consent there may be instances where your medical information may be shared by the various healthcare providers involved in your on-going care and treatment.
